Scientific research has identified the basic mechanism that causes skin to lose elasticity: it results in our DNA synthesizing large amounts of the protein progerin and decreasing the synthesis of the enzyme LOXL. The first slows down the ability of fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin, while the second, which normally stimulates the fibroblast, decreases its activity:
• Dill reduces the production of the protein progerin and stimulates the enzyme LOXL which results in a shock action against sagging and loss of tone of any origin.
